Venturing into a fitness facility can be overwhelming at times. Toss in choosing the right exercises and number of sets and reps, and resistance training can become frustrating. But without a program it is a bit like trying to drive in a foreign country without a map; you’ll always get somewhere, but the place you arrive may or may not have anything to do with the place you actually wanted to be.

blueprint

Think of your program as a blueprint for success and one of the first steps in creating a program is to establish your long-term goals, then break them down into smaller, achievable short-term goals.

As a program is not just writing a bunch of exercises down on a piece of paper; that is simply just a workout that any Tom, Dick & Harry can do.

A program has progression and purpose to everything to it down to a key from the number of reps, set, exercise order, rest periods, I mean I could go here but I think you get the point. More importantly, having a program laid out means that you never lose track of what you’re supposed to do next.

We have many success stories at The Motion Room and part of the reason is that there is a method to the madness and when programs are followed effectively it offers amazing results. TMR’s programming is built around the model of periodization. Periodization is the systematic planning of athletic or physical training. Our programs have been designed to involve 90 day progressive cycling of various aspects of a training program during a specific period.

Furthermore, these 90 days are broken down into phases of training, (Build, Meltdown & Strength) which focus on different goals to prepare the body to progress to the next level. This is only a part of the madness that has a purpose to it. Combine it with our Personal Co-Training service, and you have yourself a dynamic duo. A blueprint for success program and a Personal Trainer monitoring your progress and fine-tuning your exercise techniques along the way to help you become successful at reaching your goals.
