Getting started

How do I get started at The Motion Room?

For only $7.00 you can now sign up for our 7-day trial and start earning Sweat Equity (TMR Points) right away! 

I am a returning member, where do I begin?

Both new and returning members will be able to sign up directly for their All-Access Membership Trial on our website!

Is there a trial period?

Yes, there is! Our 7-day Membership trial is only $7.00 and it will give you the opportunity of earning Sweat Equity (TMR Points) from day 1, giving you the opportunity to double your investment and reinvest it on your monthly Membership or any of our additional services!

What should I wear for my workouts?

Besides comfortable workout clothes and training, all members will be required to wear a face mask or face covering inside the gym.

Please make sure to you DON’T wear outdoor or wet shoes during your workouts.


What safety measures are you implementing?

  • To keep track of the gym’s capacity, members will now be required to book their workouts in advance through The Motion Room App.
  • Upon arrival, members will be required to sanitize their hands
  • Touchless hand sanitizer dispensers can be found throughout the gym
  • Members will be asked to wipe down their equipment after their workout
  • The gym, including washrooms, lockers and equipment will be sanitized routinely by our staff
  • Individual workout pods have been created to ensure social distance is maintained at all times
  • Masks must be worn inside the gym as per current local mandates but can be removed while exercising

Can I use lockers and washrooms?

Yes you can, both our washrooms and lockers are routinely sanitized for you to safely use! Don’t forget to bring your lock and towel though.

Do I have to wear a mask to work out?

No. Members will be required to wear their mask while moving around the gym, however, once you’re in your workout pod and exercising you can remove it.

How do you ensure physical distance?

Besides monitoring the gym’s capacity, we’ve created socially distanced workout pods that have everything you need to ensure our members have their own space to comfortably and safely complete their workout.


What is Sweat Equity?

Sweat Equity is our accountability-based approach to fitness and wellness where you will get paid every time you show up for yourself.

Once you become a member, you will earn TMR Points (every 20 TMR Points = $1CAD) every time you book a workout, refer a friend, attend one of our exclusive events, and many more!

You will be able to earn up to 20% in credits per month that you will then be able to use towards your monthly membership payment, coaching or personal training sessions, or any of our additional services!

Is there only one membership?

Yes. Our All-Access Sweat Equity Membership will allow you to book as many workouts, classes and cardio sessions as you like!

However, you can always add one of our 2 extra packages to your membership for an additional cost:

  • 1:1 coaching
  • 1:1 personal training

What does my membership include?

Your All-Access Sweat Equity Membership includes unlimited access to group workouts, structured programs, and cardio sessions upon previous booking.

Our Membership Add-on’s (Personal Training and Coaching) can be purchased as a package or per session.

Additional services can also be purchased per session based on your unique needs!

Can I do a short-term membership?

Yes. Our membership is a non-commitment offer, so if for any reason you ever choose to cancel your membership, you can do so by giving a 30-day notice.

How do I earn TMR Points?

Members have multiple accountability actions to earn Sweat Equity (TMR Points):

  • Initial 7-day trial sign-up
  • Initial membership sign-up
  • Booking workouts and other services
  • Completing workouts
  • Completing multiple workouts in a month
  • Bonus earnings for booking multiple workouts or services in a month
  • Experience reviews on Google or social media
  • Sharing your experience on Facebook
  • Sharing your experience on Twitter
  • Referring a friend to a workout
  • Referring a friend to sign up for their membership

When do I receive my TMR Points?

Your TMR Points will be added to your account every time you complete one of the Accountability Actions enlisted on the question above! 

How do I keep track of my TMR Points?

Once you download The Motion Room App, you will be able to keep track of your TMR Points and see them adding up on the Rewards section every time you show up for yourself.

What can I buy with my TMR Points?

TMR Points can be used to pay for:

  • Your monthly membership fee
  • Membership Add-On’s Packages (1:1 Personal Training or Coaching)
  • Personal Training or Coaching single sessions
  • Our additional services

Personal Training

Does my membership include Personal Training?

Our All-Access Sweat Equity Membership includes unlimited access to workouts, classes and cardio sessions, however, Personal Training sessions need to be purchased separately, either as a package or per session.

How do I sign up for Personal Training?

You can get a Personal Training Package to get 10 personal training sessions each month to work directly with one of our trainers who will build a tailor-made program to keep you accountable and start reaching your fitness goals.

Besides your All-Access Membership benefits, you will also be able to earn TMR points for every PT session and if you get started now you’ll also get 20% off during your first month.

Or, if you’re still not sure and you just want to try it out, you can also book a single Personal Training Test Drive session to see how you like it for only $97.00. (First session only).

What is the 1:1 Coaching Package?

It is the perfect package to boost your accountability, whether you have a weight loss goal that you simply can’t seem to reach, or a nutritional goal that you just keep putting off, our coaches will be your ultimate accountability partners whose only job is to make sure you reach those goals through your personal 1:1 coaching sessions, focusing on your wellness, fitness or even business objectives.        

What’s even better about this package is that you’ll also earn points during your coaching journey every time you:

Membership Cancellation

Can I get a refund on my membership?

Unfortunately, we are not able to offer refunds on membership fees, however you will be able to cancel any time by simply giving a 30-day notice.

Can I freeze my membership?

Yes. Memberships can be put on hold/freeze once per calendar year for up to 14 days complimentary. Additional freeze/hold options can be applied for $10 per week at a minimum of 2 weeks per request. Memberships can be frozen for a maximum of 3 months per calendar year

Note: Requests must be submitted a minimum of 72 hours prior to the requested freeze date. If your payment has been processed before your request has been processed, we will be unable to proceed with the freeze request.

Can I cancel my membership?

Yes. Our Membership is a non-commitment offer which means you will be able to cancel whenever you want with a 30-day notice after your first 30 days.

Can I transfer my membership?

Unfortunately our All-Access Memberships cannot be transferred.

Can I refer a friend or family member?

Sure thing! We love having new people join our family! And what’s even better, with your All-Access Sweat Equity Membership you will get paid every time you refer a friend or family member!

Can I freeze my trial period?

Unfortunately, due to the nature of promotional memberships, we are not able to freeze your 7-day trial period.


If I have a membership, do I need to book my workouts?

Yes. To properly ensure everyone’s safety, members will be required to book their sessions in advance through The Motion Room App or on our website

How do I book a workout?

You can book your workouts through your The Motion Room App, or directly on our website!

How many times a day can I work out at TMR?

As long as you book your sessions in advance, your All-Access Membership allows you to train with us as often as you feel like it!

Note: Remember to give your body some well-deserved rest too!

How do I book a personal training session?

You can book your session through The Motion Room App or through our website, feel free to give us a call at (647) 351 8671 to talk directly to one of our trainers to learn more about Personal Training! You can book a test-drive session for only $97.00 (first session only).

Do you have group classes?

Yes. Our myzone Workouts are science-backed 45-minute group workouts. Some classes are powered solely by myzone TV’s while some others are also guided by a live trainer for extra motivation.

We also offer Open Workout Times, where you can follow one of our structured programs either by yourself or with your friends, these workout times can either be completed on your own or guided by a live trainer as well!


What is myzone TV?

The myzone TVs are set up in front of your pods during myzone workouts, giving you instructions and demonstrating exercises, allowing you to know exactly what to during your sessions.

At the top of your screen, you’ll be able to see the name of the class you’re in

On the top left corner, you can see the stage of the workout you’re in, such as the warmup, cool down or upcoming exercises as well as the time remaining for your current exercise)

On the right you’ll see the time remaining in the workout

At the bottom of your screen, you’ll see the time of day

At the center of the screen, you’ll see the exercise’s name as well as the video demonstration and exercise number

Myzone TVs work with different heart rate zones represented by different colors depending on the intensity of the exercise you’re doing and they are measured in MEPs (myzone Effort Points), this scale goes from grey to red and from 0 MEPs which are equal to resting heart rate to 4 MEPs which are equal to maximum effort heart rate.

The color of your exercise video will be showing you the desired Hear Rate Zone for every exercise so you know whether you’re working hard enough based on your personal tile which will show your actual heart rate and zone.

What are myzone workouts?

They are science-backed, 45-minute group workouts. Some classes are powered solely by myzone TV’s giving you instructions and demonstrating exercises so you always know what to do. Some other classes are also guided by a live trainer for extra motivation besides your interactive myzone TV.

Your myzone workouts have set timing, tempos and heart rate zones regulated for you to obtain optimal results as you can track your heart rate throughout the entire session.

What are Cardio Pods?

Besides your myzone workouts, you will also be able to schedule 30-minute cardio sessions on our cardio equipment!

What is Open Workout Times?

For those days when you’re not feeling like taking a group class, we also offer open workout times throughout the day for you to come workout by yourself or follow one of our structured programs.

It is an affordable approach to Personal Training, as you will have access to your workout menu and your trainer directly on your phone through The Coaching Company App, where you can find detailed exercises, set, reps and even rest times so you always know what to do.

You can choose to workout by yourself, with a friend or with one of our trainers for extra guidance

Do I need to follow a specific workout, or can I just do my own thing?

When you schedule your myzone workout you can either choose to work out on your own following the myzone TV either with or without a coach.

Are there showers and locker rooms?

We have individual washrooms and showers, as well as lockers in the hallway, so make sure you bring a lock and towel if you want to use one of them!

Do you provide mats and towels?

We provide mats for all of your sessions, however, we don’t provide towels so make sure you bring one for your next sweaty workout!

Do you sell beverages?

We don’t sell beverages, but we do have a water filter that you can use to fill up your water bottle every time you need to, as well as complimentary beverages like coffee, tea and cold infusions!

Is there parking nearby?

Free parking is available on most residential streets for 3 hours within the area. There are also several plazas in the surrounding area that offer paid parking options!

What are your hours of operation?

  • Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 6:15-20:30
  • Tuesday and Thursday: 16:30-20:30

At the moment the studio will be closed during the weekends, but keep an eye out as we’re continuously adding new time slots throughout the week.

Payment Options

What are my payment options?

The Motion Room accept visa/debit cards. Personal cheques and AMEX are not accepted forms of payment.

Do I have to pay in full?

You can pay for your membership on a monthly basis or for a whole year in advance to get a discount on your membership fee.

How do I use my TMR Points to pay for my membership?

With your All-Access Sweat Equity Membership, you will be able to earn up to 20% in credits every month. If you choose to use those credits towards your membership fee, you can simply add your TMR Points at checkout.
